Red-hot urban beats and cool new MIDI kits
This new expansion pack was cooked up in the heat of the DrumCore labs
by Gary "GT" Thompson (pro drummer, drum programmer and seasoned
DrumCore session producer). Gary s worked with artists such as Robbie
Robertson, Dave Stewart, Everclear, Ann Wilson and too many local
Seattle artists to list.
This DrummerPack is all MIDI
beats and slammin kit sounds. There are no audio loops. Beats are
designed to use straight up, or simply as a starting point for you to
make your own by editing in your recording/sequencing application.
Urban GT is basically two DrummerPacks in one. It includes a "Hip Hop
Classics" pack which is a collection of vintage and modern hip-hop
beats modeled after Billboard s "Hot 100" Hip-Hop/R&B hits of all
time. The Classics 1 GrooveSet is derived from beats in the 65-90 BPM tempo range. Classics 2 covers 90-95 BPM, Classics 3 is 95-105 BPM, and Classics 4
starts from tempos 105 BPM and goes up. These GrooveSets mix both
single "golden beats" with groups of beats that can work together as
variations on the same groove. The "Hip-Hop/R&B" pack includes
original beats in the hip-hop/R&B vein. This DrummerPack groups
content in the usual DrummerPack tradition where all the beats in a
GrooveSet relate to the same core groove for easy song construction.
Many of the Urban GT beats will work better at slower tempos, between
80-100 BPM, as is more the norm for hip-hop.
