About Dirty South:
Dirty South is a style of American Hip Hop that originated in the South
in the mid-90's. It is considered by many to be one of the major styles
of region-based Hip Hop next to East Coast and West Coast styles. Dirty
South was made famous by such artists as Ludacris, Three 6 Mafia, Lil
John, T.I., Outcast and many others. Instrumentation of the style
includes drum machines (including the popular Roland® TR808) as well as
heavy percussion, keys, turntables, human voice beatboxing, deep bass,
fat analog synths and Rap vocals.
